Today’s message is about having the courage to persevere in the face of great adversity when faced with having to choose between what is “right” (following the Inner Guide) and what is “expected” (ecclesiastical performance) of you by others in a group of religious believers. Many of you who are awakening to the truth of your dual natures and the eternal realities and potentialities of perfection attainment through faith in the Father’s will, are faced with difficult choices in letting go of long held beliefs in the dogmas of institutionalized religion because of peer pressure from the group to not question the “word of God” as it exists in the records of old. You are torn between the love of your brethren and the revelation of personal spiritual experience that illuminates the error of the old ways of thinking and believing.
It is difficult for many to co-exist in an environment where there is great love for the fellowship of sincere religious believers and the social support systems of a group while at the same time they are reluctantly shaking their heads in agreement with that group outwardly, yet inwardly they know that much of the accepted teachings strike a dissonance chord with the truths of personal spiritual revelation. These isolating feelings are the birth pangs of real spiritual freedom my beloved—to allow yourself to question that which you find inconsistent, contradictory, and confusing. This questioning of ecclesiastical law is the beginning of real wisdom—it is the soul’s desire to allow the Spirit of Truth to work in you and through you and it should be embraced without guilt or reservation.
Those that have crystallized the teachings of a book and made it law even and above God himself, have given up their spiritual freedom and have taken up the yoke of ecclesiastical law for which they are subject too. Although it may contain many truths, it has become static and dead truth. Only the personal revelation of spirit realities are alive and dynamic and can never be ensconced in written words. For many, there will be a parting of the ways, for others, they will understand and accept the limitations of dead truth while they salvage the values of brotherhood in continuing their association with a religious group. These are the choices only the individual can make as they sort it out in their hearts and minds, what is “right” and what is “expected.”
Remain open to the Spirit of Truth my beloved and allow the Divine Guide to work in your heart and reveal God’s will for your life. Have the courage to seek living truth and you will, one day, in the worlds to come, be the teachers to these that have given up their spiritual freedom.
Good day,
The Circle of Seven
